Will the gearbox from a ZC engine bolt up to a D16Y7 engine?

What ZC is it off of? if its off a SOHC Vtec ZC it should bolt up and work fine, it its off an '88 - '91 DOHC ZC it will bolt up to the block, but you'll have to convert from a hydro to cable clutch. If its off a '92 - '95 ZC it will bolt up fine and the clutch will be fine, but it takes a special intermediate shaft that bolts to the back of the engine block and i'm not sure if the D16Y7 has the holes in the block. i believe the '88 - '91 DOHC ZCs are like this as well

 

Yes if the d16 can accomodate the intermediate shaft from the ZC gearbox.
