Fuel odor/injector leak after intake/EGR port cleaning
After taking apart the intake manifold to clean the carbon out of the EGR ports, I seem to have developed a leak on some of the fuel injectors. It was rather difficult to re-seat the injectors in the rail upon reassembly. We ended up having to screw down the entire assembly to reseat the injectors. Probably wasn't the best idea.
Anyhow, is it possible that it is simply an O-ring that may have been damaged? Would that cause the leak? I could smell quite a bit of fuel on my way home this evening, and I did notice some wetness/fuel around the injector area? Any suggestions on what to do next?
On a positive note, I have successfully corrected the hesitation problem.

i just did the same thing.. and there was a horrible fuel leak.. go to honda or any parts store and buy new seals for the injectors.. there are 3 for each injector.. total will be around 39 dollars.. take off the fuel rail take out the injectors out of the manifold and also out of the fuel rail take off the old seals and install the new ones but before putting the injectors back in, GREASE THEM UP real good.. then they should slip right in... make sure they are nice and greased up before installing them.. good luck.
agree.
just buy an sealant kit for the injector instead of buying a new injector.
it will be more cheaper.

Thanks everybody! Yes, after going back to review the service manual, it does say to grease those babies up before re-seating them. Thanks for all your input--much appreciated.
