1987 Honda Prelude... Need Help BAD
ok i so i have a 1987 honda prelude dual carb plain jane prelude...i wanna turn it into a semi street/track car but i need some advice on where to start since that style preludes motor cant really be changed because of the motor mounts limit any other motor being put in it...any advice from any1?
I started with an 86 hence the handle . http://preludepower.com has lots of good info as does[URL] teaminterlude.com [URL] . Do some research on Dcoe webers as they are one of the best things u can do to that model . You also need to look for a speedline intake manifold , check ebay , thats where u will find most of the parts u will need for a 2nd gen . U may even be able to find a good set of headers . open up that exhaust with some 2 1/2 piping from the headers to your free flow muff , plug that egr , rip out power hindering components ps, ac, trunk stuff, and save some weight in the process . colt cams has good cam grinds for the et2 cant remember the website probley coltcams.com or something . The thing about carbs is that all tho they at times can be a bitch to tune u dont have to worry about running codes . I love the 2nd gen their so light and nimble get some shocks and struts the further its handling ability . I've got a built et2 if you're interested 0 hours .
