cel no vtec

will the code number 41 Primary oxygen sensor heater cause the car to not hit vtec?
i bent the o2 sensor plug thing and now i got the cel but my car wont hit vtec would that have something to do with it?

any cel could keep your car from crossing over, get an o2 sensor and it should cross over then..
