Default Anyone involved in accidents from issues of unresolved technical service issues?

We almost had an accident due to the unusually rapid wear on my rear tires of my 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid. We were on a highway and a passing car alerted us to our rear tires which were very low, and we just had them checked before we left.
I researched this unusually rapid wear on rear tires for Honda Civics online and found many newer model owners were having this problem, and all were told it was their fault for either driving habits or not maintaining rotation, etc., except for two people (out of hundreds who had complained in a forum) who got their local dealers to replace the tires due to very low mileage. It seems to be a car defect and in Canada they seemed to have fixed it with a different recall that we do not have yet regarding rear arm control for the rear tires. In just a few minutes online, I read at least two accounts of accidents from the rear tires giving out at unusually low mileage. I would assume the tire companies should also research this so that they are not blamed. Anyone else have any stories about this? I am saddened that the three American recalls for current Honda Civics like the one I have involve a wheel falling off, brake lights not working, and the back tank exploding. Scary stuff! Shouldn't Honda Service departments be trained to approach any technical service bulletin issues with seriousness? I am not trying to trash Honda, I just want help before an accident happens because of it. Are they doing anything to resolve the issue of unusually rapid wear on rear tires? I see it is included in one of their technical service bulletins as an acknowledged issue, but my local Honda service dept. acted like it was completely ignorable. Are there more people having accidents because of this or other problems that have not been taken seriously enough by their local service departments or by Honda in general? I like my Honda and don't want it to be unsafe.

If you are noticing the symptoms described in the service bulletin take it to a dealership. If they are not willing to address the problem as part of the bulletin which I highly doubt then call American Honda.

Oh and the deal with the rear wheel speed sensor o-rings. Only in extreme case would a wheel fall off. I've done probably a hundred of those and have not seen one bad o-ring.
