is 2 quarts of base enought for complete on a crx jambs and engine bay? i have used 3 on my civic hatch doing the door jambs and engine bay now i have 2 left and want to spray my crx..this is base coat not single stage...i do 3 med. coats on most jobs i guess i can do 2 on the crx covers well enough....

 

I would say no, but it depends on the colour and its transparency and coverage...

 

with bay and jam? no way, esp with the cheaper stuff.

 

its a crx they are so small and its kustom shop paint it lays down nice...i used 3 quarts exactly for my hatch with the same paint before mixing of corse

 

Thats quite an open ended question there,

I used napa martin senior paint and 2 quarts of base reduce 1 quart of basecoat will reduce to 2 quarts of sprayable material.

However other paints such as PPG paint cost a considerable amount of money more sometimes reduce to 1quart of basecoat will make 4 sprayable coats of material.

I would get more paint then you need so you can always fix muckups later.

check the datasheet's of the basecoat to figure out what paint mfg you will go with.
