ill try to descriube this as best as possible

ok you know when you go reverse and u get that sort of whineey sound, well i get that now when my car idles or in a low gear and low speed driving (1st gear)

my mechanic said it should be fine, but i worry about my car way 2 much

anyway the specs on my car are

1988 crx dx (5speed)
all stock accept drop in k&n air filter

also i did use the cd2 engine cleaner on my car yesterday, i drove my car yesterday after i used it and it did not make this sound

sorry to bring this up but i need some advice

 

If you have power steering, check your power steering fluid. Low fluid will make it whine at idle.

My cousin had the same problem in her Toyota Camry and the tech just added some power steering fluid and it went away.

its probaly ur alternator

the bearings sometimes get rust in them and they start to seize up

start ur car and then put ur ear to the alternator and give it a rev

 

yah its commin from the alternator



maybe water got inside, i dunno
