How often do you fans kick in after you turn your car off?

and where do you live?

Im not sure if they should be kicking in everytime. Never goes past the normal operating temp. But gets there within 5 mins of the car being on. Is this normal?

Finished an h22a swap into my 92. New radiator. I know the fans work cuz they kick in when the car idles.

 

If the car doesn't overheat don't worry about it. The fans should kick on when the car is off, it's normal.

 

I should of been more clear. I know it's normal, but mine haven't kicked in with the car off. Does this only really occur on HOT days?

 

I'm not sure what the conditions are, but even still I wouldn't worry about it if you don't have problems with overheating..I don't think I have ever seen mine come on after the car was off either. Even in these 100 degree plus Texas heat days.

 

the only time i've ever heard mine stay on, i was low on coolant and was starting to overheat (four bars total, not quite into the red)
