Can someone show me some pictures of MIG welds?
I'm looking to purchase a smaller MIG welder soon to do some downpipe work. Looking to spend around the $500 area. Its going to be a gasless set-up at first, then I will upgrade alone the line. Just curious what kinda of looking welds I can get out of it.
Here at my shop we use a Miller 210.
This is the kind of welds we lay down with it...

Welds on one of our chassis:

Some TIG Welds with our Miller Synchrowave 180 SD:

We are a full time fabrication shop that does this everyday though...
It takes a lot of practice to get steady. Also, not all machines will weld the same. The settings on the inside panel are only suggestions....start there & then play with them a little to see how things change.

I'll post some pics up tonight of my welder at home.. i jsut did the roll bar plates with it, its the newest millermatic 180 w/ autoset... pretty damn nice lil guy... but you could probably get the smaller one and be set.

My mig welds have a long way to go.
What wire do you use?
and I'll vouch for the 180 autoset. It's what I have and it is worth every penny.
