b18c1 smoking after high rev's
I have a b18c1 with comp test of 190 across on all cylinders. car runs strong only smokes when its reved high them white / bluish color comes from the exhasut . does not over heat nor is the oil mixing with water. I do have compressed air coming from my oil filler cap when oil cap is off a good amount of air flows out like blow by (when car is running). my pcv is clean and working with small signs of oil nothing major. i looked in the canister where the pcv goes into and there is no oil build up. when driving on hard pulls the motor does smoke a light bluish color (oil). but on a regular drive no smoke is visible, nor does it smoke at idle no oil deposit coming from exhaust .
I did replace rings and had block checked and honed (standard size)
my oil is a little high about 1/4 inch from the full line.
any advice would help

i bet your valve seals are bad if it only smokes in vtec, does it smoke on decel like down shifting and letting the rpms drop from a high rpm all the way down, when you let the rpms drop like that the motor is pulling vaccum and will pull the oil past the seals if there bad
well the reason i replaced my rings was due to oil consumption and low cylinder pressure, now my pressure is up after build but it still smokes no attention was put oh the head, I just hope its the valve seal. If i had a burnt valve what would happen? maybe vale guides?
leak down test would prop be my best result.
and yes the motor only smokes when its up in high revs like 4-7k
I also have a good amount of vented air coming from the oil cap, when its removed with car running at idle. could this be something of the cause. >?

i did a leak down test and the only place the air was escaping was from the valve cover oil cap whole and the oil dip stick whole,, so im assuming the air is escaping via the rings
Im thinking since the block was already smoking a maybe bad rings , and then i got it honed kind of open the bore out a bit and now its leaking through the rings... So what im gonna do it BORE THAT BIT#CH .020 over and go with type R pistons. and while i have the head out port that BIT@H and get it check and replace what is needed.
How much leak down were you getting. If the cylinder walls are still in good condition you may be able to get away with a ball hone on a drill and re-ringing while the block is still in the car. Way more cost effective than dropping the engine and rebuilding.
