Hi, I'm actually writing this on behalf of my father who isn't really internet savvy.

anyhow he has an 86' Accord hatch and the lamps wont automatically retract. They work normally otherwise, and he can actuate them by going under the hood, but the pop right back up.

The Hanes is worthless for this. Anyone encounter this problem and have some tips?

did he try button on the right side of the steering column.

 

disconnect the plug to the headlight motor and then put it back and then it should work fine
