Prelude H22 N/A Setup..!!
Hey there guys,
I'm a newbie to this forum working on my Lude project & trying to reach anywahere close to that number "300 whp" using an N/A setup, so here is my setup & i would like everyone to share me their ideas & opioins... Thanks in Advance:
A) Block work:
1 - H22 engine.
2 - JDM Type S pistons with 11.1:1 compression ration with std. 87mm bore, cause i dont wanna mess around with the FRM. "not sure whether i should sleeve or not".
3 - Eagle rods (H- Beams).
4 - dunno if i should change my gasket for the new compression.
B) Head work:
1 - Polishing & porting my h22 Head "or should i use another head to left compresion ratio"hybird"?".
2 - Skunk 2 Satge 2 proseires cam shafts & titanium cam gears with tuning.
3 - Skunk2 Springs & retainers kit "no valves".
4 - Skunk2 pro series Intake manifold.
5 - should i get the valves kit? which size? i heard over sized valves are not recommended.
C) Tranny:
1 - H2S8 short ration h22 tranny.
2 - Fidanza Stage 2 clutch kit "6 puck sprung hub". are the non sprung hub better in terms of performance?
3 - 8lb Fidanza fly wheel.
4 - intend to get an LSD "which made & cost effective"?
D) Airflow:
1 - Cold Air intake "long arm".
2 - Ceramic 2 pieces headers + test pipe.
3 - Hayami Japanese 2.5'' free flow exhaust "or should use 3" instead".
E) Fuel:
1 - Fuel pressure regulator.
2 - walbro 255 LPH fuel pump.
3 - should i go for bigger injectors than my 345 cc h22 stock ones like 440's or 450's ? or should i just upgrade the fuel rail?
F) Electronics:
1 - Hondata S300 with all applications " would that fit my P13 ECU? or should upgrade it to P28?"
2 - MSD external coil -2- red cover with distributor cap "should i add MSD ignition device? what part number, couldn't find the right one for h22 on http://www.msdignition.com"
3 - 11 mm MSD sparkplug wires.
4 - lazer iridium spark plugs.
5 - proper tuning.
So? what do u all think?
Regards,
Shareef

You will need a new ECU. Hondata will not work with the P13. You do not sleeve the block unless you are using forged pistons. Sprung hub clutch will engage alot smoother than non sprung. For your LSD, Quaife is the best , not the cheapest but after you have to deal with OBX poor customer service, you will be glad you went with the Quaife. I have also heard good things about the Kaaz LSD. Both will run you about 900.00 USD. Probably do not need the MSD stuff. Stock ignition will support up to 500whp.
