Default Fit a bike inside a Honda Element?

A possible deal just came up for a Honda Element.

I'd like to use it to haul the bike to and from track days.

Do you think I can fit the bike inside the cabin with the tail gate closed? The RC51 is just under 7' tip to tip at the tires.

Wouldn't a small trailer be cheaper than a Honda Element?

For the hassle it would be to load a bike into an Element, it doesn't seem worth it. Even a 4-banger pickup would be easier/cheaper

I'd tow a trailer with my TSX.

All the trailers I've seen here have been licensed (plated). I'm not sure about insurance though.

Maybe if you left the rear hatch open?

I always liked the element - towing a small trailer would probably be easier.

Yep, there are a couple tie downs in the back and the front. You can also use the seat mounts in the center of the E to hook straps to.
Also don't forget about the "Oh ****!" handles.

I've seen pics of a 600rr in an Element...rear facing forward. I can't find pics, though. Actually, I'm too lazy to look.

It wouldn't work if you did it like the one in the post I put up?

Tailgate down, put down a ramp/board, roll bike up, stick tire between front seats, strap bike down, pack up ramp/board, close up....go ride
