Here is what I was thinking. Is this a good start, or is my landing and angle off?

I use a 30* angle, but the difference of 5* here isn't going to be dick. I use a 20 thou landing just like you have drawn as well.

Do you guys leave a gap when tacking together SCH10? I was planning on butting the landings up together with no gap.

If you find it difficult to get full penetration, then yes, do it. *BACK PURGE TOO*

You should be good w/o it though, or if you do, just a [pejorative] hair is all you need.
