Dealers usually could care less as long as they get their money.

And the MSF course is a safety class to teach you the basics of riding. I highly suggest you take it before putting too many more miles on that R6.

oh boy....

Have you rode a motorcycle of the same level as an R6? You can get in over your head VERY FAST on a bike like that if you aren't comfortable with what you're doing..... with that said, nice pickup, and be careful

OH I'm being extremely careful it's been 2 weeks and I haven't gone above 30 MPH yet...I'm just practising in a parking lot. I'm not going out there until I feel confident I'll be OK even at 20 MPH on a street.

And thanks

congrats

thats actually my least favorite color for 08 but i think its mainly because i dont like flames on any kind of vehicle.

it seems like youre being responsible

go to here: http://www.msf-usa.org/

find a training center close to you and please take the class, youll learn stuff that in that class that might save your life. Even if you already know how to ride youll learn something.

Learning emergency stops and swerves and saved my butt a couple times

Id strongly recommend it
and congrats!

Be careful out there.

Also invest in something to read like "Proficient Motorcycling" to at least go over some of the basics before you attend MSF. The more you know ahead of time, the better. Especially considering you purchased a supersport as your first bike.

True story.

I actually feel good about riding a 'slow' bike (450lbs wet, ~50hp). I've been riding it for 4 years and over 20k miles, and am finally reaching it's limits in terms of cornering and braking, not just acceleration.
