starter issues - possible starter clutch relay?
basically:
95 manual prelude + winter cold weather = no signal to starter
When weather warms up in the afternoon it starts fine, and i haven't had the problem since winter
when it is cold i can get it to start by jumping the starter so it appears it's an issue with the starter clutch relay.
some extra info: I have a viper alarm with remote start and they bypassed the clutch switch.
95 automatic accord + really hot weather today = no signal to starter
this is the first time this happened to the accord but basically i had to jump the starter to get it to start. since it is automatic there is no clutch switch and this car has an alarm also (no remote start)
did some searching and found something called a starter clutch relay.
If it has gone bad i hear people just jump the wires instead of buying a new $200 relay from honda. is there any reason not to just jump the wires in it?
Also how can i test this relay or could this be another issue and not the starter clutch relay? Looks like the relay is in the inside fuse box and i will take a look when i get home but just wanted some more info from others who have had this issue.
Thanks

it could be the ground to the starter it grounds on the engine block, try grounding it to the battery with a wire from the stater bolt to the batt. may not be it but it was my problem after i switched my trans.
