Searching for bike
What are some alternative ways of searching for used bike except from eBay and craiglist?
I've been searching around and it seem like there is not that many around my area, maybe one or two around 50+ miles away

Honestly, CL is your best bet. If you're really not finding anything there, go to a bike dealer and usually they let people psot up classifieds in the shop, or just ask, they might have a fresh trade in that they'll sell cheap.

x2. If you can't find a bike you're looking for on Craigslist, then there are none for sale in your region. CL will always have the biggest selection because it's free to list, while eBay and Cycle Trader are not.
I looked for a '97-02 CB750 just about everywhere. Nothing on eBay, nothing on CycleTrader (I literally found less than ten listed in the entire country). Checked a few Craigslists within a 2 hour drive and found so many that I was able to choose the mileage, price, and condition that appealed to me.

Craigslist is definitely your best bet. If you are in a big city - then there will be plenty of bikes around listed because of a bigger market, or call dealers for their used inventory. If you are in a small city with a small market for bikes (like me), you're going to have to expand your craigslist browsing area. I was looking for bikes in places that were 2-3 hours away.

agreed with craigslist. what i've noticed with bikes for sale is that if you see it on any local forum, newspaper ad, ebay, more than likely it'll be on craigslist as well.
