I am trying to replace the driver's side axle on my 90 crx dx. I found some on ebay; but they list two different model numbers for the left side. I wrote the seller and asked him which one I needed. Below is his response:

in this year they made two one with a 26 inch spline and one with a 23 inch inch spline. the 7039 is the 26 inch and the 7037 is the 23 inch. It does make a difference. This is the entire left drive shaft. Thank you for your interest encore2000"

How do I know which one I need?

you need the one with 26 splines (not 26 inch) - 23 spline is for the HF

 

good deal, i just hope that my car is indeed a dx. it has not markings and the title just says crx.

 

dx is the same as std. there are no markings on a dx (std). the hf says hf and si says si.
