Lots of brake fluid everywhere... You're supposed to get well over 1000 psi. I've got maybe 30 It happened in qualifying barreling down the front straight @ Summit, which fortunately has a runoff road.

The zip ties weren't in the right place. I guess I should do the zip ties myself, but no big deal. One more line, and I'm back in action.

I hit the brakes somewhere north of 125. The pedal was solid for a second, and then the pedal hit the floor REAL quickly. I was probably down to 90-100 when it let go. If you turn left at the end of the front straight @ SP, there's a long runoff road which leads to a skidpad.

That's where I proceeded to get lost and manage to go out onto the wrong track, hence earning my nickname Fortunately, the event on that track was also being run by NASA, otherwise I would have been in bigger trouble.

Nah, not that fast. There was a waving yellow, so I let off earlier than normal. Especially since I saw Brinson parked perpendicular to the line, on the track...

So I take it you don't need to rebuild your calipers....

Just where was it zipped tied to that it could contact the abs ring? (Unless your brake lines are super long and somehow got into there)

Yeah, my lines were really long, and I used to have all the slack on the side closer to the rear. Someone zipped them so that the slack was mostly up front, and it bent down and touched the ABS ring. Took about 15 minutes on track before it busted through. The hole is tiny. I'll try to remember to snap a shot.

I have pedal pressure again On the downside. On my way to Rosen's today, the damn thing decided to spray fluid all over the place. Paint is peeling off like nuts from the trailer.

****..i'm afraid one day this **** will happen to me.
i got my koni yellows installed just the other week on my gsr
and my friend was like "oh sh*t you don't have that thing to hold your brake line.."
i'm like "huh.." cuz i don't know wtf he's talkin about lol..
but he knows what he's doing..obviously...so he zipties them down...in the
front..he says i don't need them in the back..

i'm just wondering if there's a better way to hold these puppies down or any
aftermarket thing that would fit on there to hold the brake lines...

but if there is not...how exactly do i zip tie em *it was getting late..i didn't watch him work in the dark much* and would using 2 zipties work better or...

Make sure they don't touch anything at full lock, both directions, as well as pointing straight ahead. Don't zip them down too hard, because they need some play to turn and to move up and down.

Yikes!

Zip ties are your friends! they help keep sensitive parts (like brake lines) away from the sharp, whirly bits

For konis, you're supposed to remove the brakeline bracket from the stock shocks and move them over to the koni shocks. At least that's how i did mine (92 LS).
