Default Is my Clutch done??

When I'm almost full throttle in first, I hear the revs jump up for a moment then come back down. almost like I'm clutching in for a second.
I'm guessing I'll need a new clutch soon?

Also when i'm slowing down in gear I hear a fluttering sound from the front, kind of like I have a paper/leaves stuck in my tire...but when I'm in neutral the sound disappears.
Is this also from clutch wear?

thanks in advance

edit: I have an '01 F4i with about 22k Kms (10k miles)

my bike did the same reving up thing at really high rpm (12-14k) but other than the it ran just fine in all other situations. I replaced it and everything just as it should be.

I think the fluttering sound that you are describing is the the chain or just normal drivetrain whine and thats normal.

as long as your not full throttle you dont have to replace it.

thanks guys.

i thought the fluttering would be a clutch issue cause it only started when the clutch started to slip

the fluttering when I'm slowing down...could it be from my chain rubbing the bottom of the fairring?? my coworker pointed out that my chain is really lose. I looked at it and when the bikes off the chain is touching it...is that normal??

do you mean its rubbing the bottom of the swingarm? cause if it is, yes its too loose.

just came back from tightening the chain and that was the cause of the fluttering.

Check your chain for rounded sprockets. A chain that loose most likely killed itself and your sprockets. Best to be safe next time keep up with atleast 1000 mile chain checks at the worst for now on. I try to lube, clean, and check tension every 600-800 miles.
