Anyone know how to TS headlights that wink off and on at random? they may stay off for 3 seconds or 300 seconds. scary stuff on a dark road... tapping or flicking the switch does NOTHING, neither does road vibration. Very strange, never heard of this before. It happens and you go WTF is this !!!

I had headlights that came on for a day, then went out. If I reseated the plugs, they would work for a day, then go out again. Brand new bulbs were DOA. Try bulb replacements.

 

i have had this exact problem before. shut off on me on a dark road and had to keep turning on and off then they would finally come on. i checked and replaced everything. finally i found it to be the relay that is under the hood on the passenger side. replace this and let me know.

 

Loose or bad ground wire?

 

check the socket the bulb plugs into. The leads on mine were corroded and bent. Scraped 'em off and bent 'em back into place and never had a problem after. (Went through 6 aftermarket bulbs in 4 weeks).
