Hello, I have a 1998 Accord EX V6 that has 75,000 miles on it. Great car and great engine. However, it was involved in a minor fender-bender last weekend when a woman sideswiped the front passenger side. slightly dented the front passenger (right) fender and broke the headlight housing. The engine now makes a slight whirring/humming sound whenever it is running, whether at idle in park or when driving in gear. I've looked under the hood and see no damage that is obvious. Other than this new noise, the car seems to be running and driving fine. The dent in the fender wasn't bad enough for it to be pushed into the hood, which is fine. I've had the fender and headlight replaced by the body shop. Can anyone tell me what might be causing this whirring noise in the engine? Thanks, Michael
