when installing a b16 in a crx, do you still use that black canister

Default when installing a b16 in a crx, do you still use that black canister

i have a 91 crx si. w/a b16a, when my freinds did the swap. they took out that canister, that black one on the firewall or engine bay. i think that is why my car is ideling at 3k rpm. but i hope not. thanks

Mine is still there and I have no idle problems. Something else must be causing the high idle. Maybe a vacuum leak...etc

You mean the charcoal canister. Taking it out should not be a problem. Its strictly for emmissions control.
