hey all u synthetic guys, synchros need friction in order to operate properly. that is precisely why honda mtf is a semi-synthetic blend and not a full synthetic. so keep using full synthetics and prepare to replace quite a few trannies.

Honda MTF is the ONLY way to go. Redline is prolly a little bit better to use than part-synthetic motor oils, but not nearly as good as the MTF. Believe me, I've used regular motor oils, part-synthetic motor oils, full-synthetic motor oils, redline MTL, and now finally Honda MTF.

Not only is it proven to work better in every situation than any other oil, you can actually feel the difference. Right after I switched from redline to the Honda stuff, my tranny felt so much better!
