on highway today cruising in 6th. an old school civic si pulls up. we get side by side and i down to 4th and took it to redline. car kept up all the way. s2k lacked the high end to pull away. i stopped fooling around and went home kinda disappointed... hehe

i never usually do this but this happened after being in traffic for 1 hour and i wanted to get home quick. anyway...this ever happen to anyone? kinda made me miss my old ap1. o well..its my daily driver so...just thought i share...

 

EF or EG oldschool? chances are its a swapped one.. those things are light as heck and if done right, they're quick grocery getters.

my friends b16a swapped eg hatch (motor is rather hurt, car weighs 2020lbs without driver) keeps with me until 80mph then 4th gear helps me pull away from him hard

 

interesting...i figured that might be a possibility. it was an em1 not ek, eg, ef. only saw an exhaust...o well. still doesnt make me feel better hehe

I raced an EM1 when my S2000 just had an exhaust. the Em1 had a ITR intake manifold, full exhaust, built head, fuel pump, fuel injectors and tuned... I smoked it... I think what we have here is a case of driver error

 

a swapped hatch or crx, done right, will run 13s all day or faster, with the top end to match. Don't feel bad.

 

Yeah I raced a b16 ef and that thing was quick! It was dead even with me and one by half a car against the other s2000 with us that night

 

Swapped hatches can be quick... low 13's on a healthy motor, what would your s2000 run?

 

He said it was an EM1, which means it was probably stock B16 motor. They run mid 15's in stock forum, you should have beat him.

 

as an aside, how come nobody mentioned STREET RACING FTL

 

because street racing rocks - i live for the look on peoples faces when they come round a corner to see me on their side of the road going sideways - i only wish vtac was quieter so i could hear them scream
