Default First time i got SCAMMED on here!!!...........

******UPDATED...PIC OF PACKAGE ON PG.2*******

Well ill try and make this short and not make a novel out of it. On page 3 of the WTB and For sale thread in the ITR forum, my cuzzin (97ITR#126) and 01_ITR made a deal to exchange fuel pumps straight across. My cuzzin had to go with a Walbro 255 becuz of his setup. We saw this guy wanting to get rid of his fuel pump "Walbro 255" because hes running a stock ITR he says and this had a Walbro in it already so it made his car run really rich. So he told me about it becuz im going turbo in my car. We worked out a deal that if i sent out my fuel pump first (the stock itr one) when he received it he would send out his immediately. He calls me today and tells that all he receives in the mail is a filter and no fuel pump. Im clueless at this point! We talk some more and more and listen to his malarky he keeps telling me he never received a fuel pump and that all he got was "a brown bag". Haha, yea he said brown bag. I said, no you gotta be shitting me, i sent out the fuel pump exactly the way it was when Kingmotorsports installed the new one for my cuzzin, which is the pump with the filter and connection and, well besides the whole bracket that actually holds the pump. I then started to think, "yes i just got scammed"

This was the picture that he sent me, and thats what he saaid he received in the mail today.

And this is my receipt for the Postal Service when i sent out ITR fuel pump last Friday.

Does anyone recall a filter weighing 11.80 oz.?!? Last time i checked, i dont think so. He says he is gonna go "check with the post office tomorrow to straighten things out" but i highly doubt it. I simply said to the scammer, "Congratu[freak]inlations, you succeeded in being the first person to scam me on H-T!" Just watch out for this guy, he seemed all cool and nice at first, but this is what makes me want to trust people. Im gonna go shower and eat some catfish, let me know what you guys think!

P.S. since this is ITR forum.

Here are the pics when my cuzzin (tony) and a few of our buddies went to King to get his car tuned. Sorry i didnt blur out the plates Tony, ill take off if you want me too.

There is absolutly no way a strainer is 11.8oz...

This is my boy Dat-T and he would never send a strainer and expext a walboro 255 back...

But anyway, Dat, you just got pwned by a scammer! He's probably driving around town with your fuel pump in his car trying to sell his Walboro255 to somebody!

I can vouche for my buddy Dat. I know my buddy know his stuff really well from ground up and would not scam anyone. Only a douche bag would do this kind of scam, and I know Dat is not one of them. This vouch is coming from an Admin of JDMCITY.COM.

because we were trading straight across, he said his type R came previously turbocharged and because it had a walbro 255, it made his car run shitty, and he texted me and said he doesnt wanna spend $280 on one, i want what he has, he wanted what i had, he got mine, i got jipped, lesson learned, dont trust douches!

I can vouch for Dat1BVtecN.

He bought some drag radials from me and we talked via pm. He tried picking up the tires from me (I'm in Chicago) when he was on his way to Kingmotorsports (in Wisconsin) w/ his cousin.

I couldn't that day, but several weeks later his buddies were in the area and picked them up for him.

No big deal, nothing shady.

Good straight up communication.

I would think a pump and strainer, and "bubble mailer" package would weigh more than 11.8oz?

My question is...

Why in the hell would you put a fuel pump in a bubble mailer? Small box, yes... mailer HELL NO. IMO, what sounds like happened (and does all the damn time) is the "mailer" came open during shipment.

See if you can get pics of the mailer package that buyer (trader) recieved.

that is exactly what I was thinking.....

The package got damaged, and the only part they could find and mail was the filter.....

This is the same thing that happened to me once...I was shipped some metal seat mount brackets (from a company that will remain unnamed because they resolved the issue) and they were shipped in a FREAKING FLAT RATE ENVELOPE

EPIC FAIL!!!!

needless to say, i got the ENVELOPE with a nice hole in it, but no brackets

and if i received a fuel pump in a "bubble envelope" i wouldnt even open it...i'd send it back because chances are it would be DONE.

i agree. i got jacked before when an antenna motor/mast i bought was sent in a non-bubble mailer with some paper crumpled and thrown in...

FWIW, i sold/shipped Dat some kosei k1s and although i couldn't ship them out right away and Dat started to get really "concerned" (won't go into details here), the deal finally went through. for Dat being patient.

Ill will check with the post office here today and find out if that really happened, but i dont think the fuel pump itself can rip out of the package. The lady at the post office told me that the bubble wrap package would be fine... he also sent me a picture of part of the envelope and the package looked fine condition... no holes, tears, etc.

jus got back from post office... she said there is no way the item couldve "fell" out of the envelope, there are no sharp edges on the item, there is no way that could have happened, and she also said that if it did "rip" through the package, the postal service would have marked "item damaged" or something of that sort on the envelope. At least i didnt get ripped off hundreds of dollars....

Well, just got off phone with the guy, he said he just came from his post office and they said when they received the package...it was only 1-2 oz. or something like that, and he offered to send me his fuel pump when he gets a new one. I appreciate that he offered to send me his but it may take up to a week or so until i receive it...He also concluded that someone opened up the package at his house...took only the fuel pump, and left the strainer there, and resealed it with glue...not sure but well see what happens. Its a good thing that he did communicate with me fast though...
