My '91 Accord EX will on occasion slow down to 20-25 for about a minute or longer and then speed back up, then slow down again, and speed up. It acts up after I stop for a light or in traffic. I have to keep mashing down on the accelerator for it to go. I've had several things checked out that could be wrong, but nothing solves the problem. Please someone help.

 

look under your passengers carpet . ther's a big silver metal box with a round small glass . turn your ignition on and you will see a red light blinking . my 1990 accord that I just bought 2 weeks ago is doing the same thing . mine is blinking 4 times this means that the vehicle speed sensor(vss) is bad. $39.00 on ebay. Hope this helps. I am waiting for my vss to come in. but from what I understand this sensor is hooked up with the transmission , speedometer & affects shifting.
