Default CRX died...leaking coolant from crank pulley area

The engine has been running like crap for a while. I've been planning a swap for a while, but I've been trying to get all the miles I can out of the stock motor before I do the swap. Its been leaking oil into the spark plugs. I replaced every seal I could, and it just kept leaking. SO my guess was that the head or block or both were warped, or had some other damage. But the other day, my wife was driving the car, and it just shut off. I went to pick her up and meet up with the tow truck, and there was a big puddle of coolant under it. When I got it home, I poured some water into the radiator just to see where it was leaking from, and it poured out from the crank pulley area. The seal or whatever you want to call it. Just wondering if anyone could tell me what the problem is, other than the motor is toast. I'm in the process of picking up a D-Series swap, but would like to have a car for around town while I wait for a couple weeks.

Seems like you found the maximum amount of miles between doing your routine maintenance. You haven't done an overhaul on the engine, changed spark plugs, changed the valve cover seals, head seals, or even the water pump, surprised it hasn't exploded due to a broken fuel filter. That would be bad, so I would suggest you do your work on the car, and the engine will last you forever... well maybe not anymore since you may have warped your head, damaged some other things....

I have rebuilt a dead engine and it ran great, till I noticed i forgot to lap the valves in their seats.

Good luck, get to work.

I've owned the car for about a year, and done all the maintenance on it. If you read what I wrote, it says right in my post that I replaced all the seals I could on the head. Including the valve cover seals. Also replaced all plugs, wires, adjusted the valves, and OMG I even did an oil change. Maybe I'll replace the fuel filter before it "breaks" Also its a [freak]ing D15B2 with 275,000 miles on it. If you really think its worth saving, come get it and its yours. But other than that, thanks for your smart *** response, and thinking I'm apparently an idiot "cuteboi"

Then I guess it's a good thing you didn't actually lap the valves, because thats not the right way to do it anymore. You want to actually have the valve faces precision ground and the valve seats cut, that gives you the best, most accurate and consistent seal. You wouldn't want your heads to be sanded on a belt sander like they used to, now do you? But if the valves went out, then you should have had a valve job done.

do you have all of your timing belt covers on? i'd be willing to bet that the water pump seized up and either made the belt melt which made it brake or you possibly could have jumped timing enough to not run right. either way i'd say 275,xxx is HELLA miles for that motor. let us know what the out come is.

oil in the spark plug holes is the o-rings leaking from between head and the holding brackets for the camshaft so it looks as if you did not replace all oil seals just saying.
o yeah and your water pump is toast hopfully it didnt lock up and snap your timingbelt.
