I have a 90dx hatch with the Dual point fuel injection set up. I started the car and it perfectly about a mile to the store i shut it off and when i tryed to turn it back on 5 minutes later it would not start or catch to turn on. it keeps cranking and once in 3 cranks it will start but POP POP like some one trew a m80 in the exhaust pipe. i am not sure whats wrong but i have tested for the following

1)Spark i have from taling each out and cranking the engine.
2) i have plenty of fuel probly too much because i can smell it in the carburator.
3) the fuel pump turns on every time the ignition is turned on and it primes fine.
4) i have not done a compression test yet but i dont see how after one mile of driving i can blow something. pleas help me out or the cleanest cream puff ef hatch that i have and love will be junked!!!

Thanks to all for the Good sugestions. here goes the update:
I came home from work looked at the car and?HA hA no i did not blow it up yet i was thinking the same thing on the fireing order too so i switched the wires around and started the car and first crank it came right on. well when it came on it slowly started to rev up higher and higher so i turned it off. my thinking has me going towards the timing belt jumped a tooth? but i know i have compression, spark, and fuel so the timing and fire order has to be the lsat two things i have to miss with. i am happy i started it but i have more work to do. i will be back with an update and again thanks for the info.if yall have any other idea or sugestion post it up.

Well i missed with it again and the firing order was wrong. i got that fixed now when i first start it the idle jumps up and down fast intell it gets warm and it starts to slow down. when i try to give it gas the idle goes up and dont come back down intell i give it full gas then it goes back to up and down. i did switch carbs with one that was supposed to be good but i think something might be wrong with it. the car is not throwing any check eng lights or codes. could the tps be going bad or the Iac? i am close to getting this car on the road so any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated. thanks for all the help.
