we got a free 94 civic 4dr i thought would be a nice DD while i work on my ls/v. only problem is motor is blown, which is an easy swap, and... the paint looks like ****.

they completly sprayed over EVERYTHING, with some kind of... acrylic paint (??)... idk, but they didnt even bother to sand down the original paint, and the blueishpurple colour is starting to chip. i could chissle away at the blue till it was all gone, but that'd take days.. so is there a way i could like aircraft remove it and POSSIBLY save the oem paintjob?

i decided if i couldnt, then i'd paint strip it, and go at it with a DA, and look for a coupe front bumper (idk if it fits or not ???) and give it a nice sand down, borrow a spray gun from the paint and body shop behind us that's redone about 8 of our cars, and prime it, and attempt a $50 paint job. possibly flat black since this is my first paint and body project...

all in all, all it really needs is a nice prep job, some cheap paint that'll last, new tires (i work in a tire shop, i can get them for free ) and a motor... cant wait to tear this thing apart!
