Crx Question

Default Crx Question

I bought a crx off this guy. He drop in a motor from a 88 sedan. the motor ran when it was in the sedan. Now that he put it in there it wont even start up. Could you guys give any answer to this or any thoughts about what could be wrong with it?

That's way to vauge.

What motor is it, what trim crx is it?

Does it crank, struggle what?

Have you checked simple things?

yeah sorry about that. I check all the small things to it. the engine is a d15y8. When i turn the key it sounded like a buzzing noise. The guys said that it could be a wiring problem with it.

yeah it doesn't crank over. The battery is new and the guy said that he replace the starter. But i dont think the replace the starter. is there any quick ways to check the starter?

There is no such thing as a d15y8, did you mean d16y8? If so, that's from a 98 sedan, not an 88. Also, you would need to use all the old stuff from the old motor. If your car isn't MPFI then you'll have to convert over before that engine will work.
