Analyze my time slip plz
Ok here was my best run out of 3 runs tonight. This was my first time at the track . The temp. outside was hot and very humid.
R/T .825
60' 2.661
330 7.024
1/8 10.451
MPH 72.79
1000' 13.353
1/4 15.812
MPH 91.24
What is my car capable of running, and what can I do to improve my times? On this run I launched at around 5000 rpm dumping the clutch on stock Michelin tires. My front tire pressure was 28 psi and rear was 35psi. All mods are in my sig in addition to removed back seat/spare.
Thanks

Yeah this was my first time at the track. My 60 ft. was a garbage 2.661. I also noticed that my trap speed was higher than a stock Si at 91.24. Another Si at the track was running 16.1-16.2. And an EK hatch with a B18c1 swap ran a 14.7. So everyone was running garbage times on this hot muggy, humid night. I talked to an Si owner on clubsi and he ran a 14.977 @ 91.34 mph with a 2.206 60 ft(not at the same track). His trap speed was almost equal to mine so with better tires and a good 60 ft. I'm hoping for low low 15's. And if I'm lucky, and it's pretty cold and dry out, maybe I can hope for a high high 14.

the 60 ft suck like a ****...work on those and u will do good times. i say low 15s. the reason the traps are so high is because of no traction. the more the tires spin the higher the traps. when u run ur best time, the traps will get lower unless u have done something to make more power. once there was too much water on the track because some idiot did a burnout in the box with radials
, so he dragged water on to the starting line, anyway i launched and got crazy wheel spin because of the water. i ended up getting a 16.7 at 97 mph. usually ill be running mid to high 14s wiht traps at only 93-94. get those 60ft times down and u will see. also lower the front tire pressure to about 22-23 psi if u have to run on stockers. dont worry this is still safe.

feather it!!! I feather my clutch and was able to pull off 2.2 times. This is a hatch w/gsr motor on 13inch vx wheels and bald stock tires. Practice and you'll get better.

So with a good launch I should be good for low 15's? Is that about right for my mods(listed in sig) plus no spare/jack/backseat/powersteering? Also, for every second you take off of your 60 ft. how much does it take off of your 1/4 time?
why did you put stock tires on rota slipstreams?
As a matter of fact, I still am

feather it? dont feather it.. i pulled last night a 13.63@100 on a civic gsr.. i grabbed a 2.151 60 ft with street tires dumping the clutch at 4k.. i dunno bout you guys but this is how i do it.. and to get the times that you want you need to improve that 60 ft to a 2.2.. you'll be happier with your run..

hehe.. forgot to metion.. this is also with an itr lsd tranny... i coulda done better but i ran it for my cousin.. hes twice the size of me and still a begginer.. hes getting good.. he gets better 60's than me.. but i'm just a lil faster..
to him..
to him..
Your 60ft says it all. As with all honda's I've seen this really makes or breaks your time tenth or two hear off and your down a second from what you could run. My time is in my sig. I am usually getting a 2.2 or 2.3 with mine. I use my stock 13 with some crap firestone tires. I run my psi at 26.5 at the front. I check them after each run as they do tend to heat back up.
Granted your in a 00 to my 95. But you should be at least a 1/2 second faster, the heat probably played a good effect. What do you launch at? I launch at 4300. I slip for a split second and usual drop into base vtec of 4K. Pratice your launch rpm. Watch were your rpm's are at when you gain traction etc. This is how I perfected my times.
Ask others that ran how they felt the track was slippery, etc. Helps you figure how your doing. As always the more you practice the better you get.
GOOD LUCK.
