my friends 94 dx hatch wont start when it is hott outside and I heard that there is a part that needs to be replaced every so offten that will make the car not start when its hott outside.. but its been so long i cant remeber what it is called anyone have the same problem or can help??

I don't reccomend starting a hot car - but you may want to be more specific - number one thing I think of dealing w/ temp and starting issues it ECT sensor

 

FUEL PUMP MAYBE

 

Not the fuel pump those sit in the gas tank and there cool try the main relay or the dizzy. The igniter goes bad when under serious heat (insulation goes bad) after a while the car will only run when its cool.

 

The problem you describe is usually said to be the main relay.
