With NOPI having problems and BOTI catering to the other classes, where does this leave the PRO classes?

Why do you say Boti catering to the other classes?

I'm sure those guys will be taken care of next year

BOTI has a class for PRO FWD and Modified!! All motor will never have a problem...i think those that are racing the class will be back next year. there are not too many places a 9sec all motor can race outside of sport compact. I dont know what the numbers per class were at Vegas, but the most important thing was i heard the stands were packed.

IMO..... the pro classes bring the sponsors and fill the stands while the sportsman and bracket classes pay the bills.

I hope that BOTI is the only series so that everyone has to run it.

The events that happened with Ed Bergenholtz vs. the PSCA cars is a taste of the excitement of what is to happen in 2009 with PROFWD.
(What do you guys think of mixing MOD with PROFWD?)

The PROIMPORT class is doing just fine with 7 entries in MD and a total of 9 entries in Vegas. (The class is doing better.)

ALL MOTOR is something that might need to be addressed. (???????????)

Just having the cars and competing them locally is 110% of your efforts. Just stick with it and we at Battle will do our very best efforts to bring the marketing dollars to the sport.

We just decided to remember our roots. If I'm not mistaken, Frank and I from our era built our import cars back in the 80's to go to the street races to attempt to whoop up on the V8's. We are brainstorming this possible marketing scenario for PROFWD. The Las Vegas event was a proof of concept for this. Rado too, was also going to be matched up against some PSCA cars but unfortunately broke something on his front hubs during the qualifying rounds.

cotorres, we are already would like to move to a 16 car field. we love too, so we are working on our time tables for the rest of the season and 09 will be at 16. you have to understand, sometimes we dont get 29 cars trying to qualify

like what we talked about earlier in the week, we are trying to cater to everyone.
by the time sema has come around we will be able to see some regional areas we will be covering.

please pm me what you would like to see in a awd/rwd street class . and i will carefully look them over with frank and get with everyone that will follow the class
anyway back to the thread!

As an added note to the PRO categories, the sportsman classes were packed.

Street Comp (Turbo): 29 entries

Street Performance (All motor): 26 entries

Grassroots racing is alive and well.

Having 16 car fields will be definately be addressed.

Gotta take care of the sportsman to keep this going. pros arent built overnite. They all started out at the bottom.

Thanks for the replies, the future looks interesting for the PRO ranks. So if I understand correctly BOTI would like to race PRO against other classes? The PROs are running sub 8 second times, what other classes are going to be competitive with that? Mixing PRO RWD and FWD would be interesting.

And what about TV exposure Mr. Parks? Is BOTI working on that too? SPIKE TV or Speed (ESPN is probably out of the question)? Would like to see the next years exciting action on TV.

BOTI seems to have their hands around this thing pretty tightly, more so than NOPI.

GM,Honda,Toyota, and Mazda have put alot money and marketing into the PRO ranks, it would be a shame to see it go away.
