Default swapping roof panels?

not really what to call them but the panels on the rood on the inside. what im woundering is, will the panels out of a 92-95 fit into my 97 civic? reason i ask, well in the eg they are like vinyl or whoever you spell it. in my 97, its carpet crap. i hate the carpet. i know eventually it will all start falling down which its starting to slightly. and the vinyl is alot easier to clean and looks better in my opinion. ive had many eg's as well but never payed attention to its pattern. if anything, im more concerned about where the mirror is. dont remember exactly but that may be different. thought id ask tho.

The part you're thinking of is called the headliner. Fabric headliners don't fall down unless the adhesive gets wet or is pulled on. I would agree that the vinyl is easier to clean though.

The rearview mirror is attached to the glass. If you put holes in the headliner you can just bolt it to the roof.

Btw, looking at the photos in the EPC, does anyone know what countries have the third sun visor in the middle on 5th gens?

I'm not sure what the dimensions are, but I'd be afraid of the 5th gen one being smaller. Even 6th gens are different sizes based on the body style they come from.

Perhaps someone with a fifth gen can come in here and post up the dimensions of theirs. Maybe you can find out which one has the longest or closest measurements to yours.

NOFX, my friend has a '92 Si hatch, she has the small middle sun visor on it, we're in canada, but this is the only 5th gen civic i've ever seen that had it, she is not the original owner of the car, but we believe it was there since new, the car was 100% bone stock when she got it, original steel wheels and hubcaps even. hope that helps

Hmm... good to know. Thanks for pointing that out.

I actually have a part I'd like to find for 6th gens too. I made a thread about it thinking maybe it's in Canada, but no luck. It's a little box that goes with the spare tire. A friend has one but I have no idea where it came from since I know where the car as bought (used at least) and the part isn't listed for US cars.

this box, can you get a picture of it? Or at least a detailed description of it, also what type of car does your friend have, coupe/sedan/hatch? i'm going to the junkyard this week, possibly tommorrow to get some doors for my 5th gen sedan (salt sucks) but i can check and see if i see one of these boxes while i'm there.
