I'm curious. I am going to get a Civic EX. Can a B16/18 go in an EX? Also, how many cylinders is the 16 and 18. And, how much would each cost? And how much horsepower would it add.

 

This is an unbelieveable question!!! I guess you have to start somewhere. If it a 93-00 civic ex, you can put any b-series motor in there. All the b-series motors are 4 cylinders. Expect to pay anywhere from $3000 installed, to $6000 installed depending on which motor. What you need to do is search around on this board and start learning some stuff before asking some questions. People on this board will eat you alive for asking questions like this.

 

What year EX? That will depend which B series swap will be the easiest. That will also decide if you need a hydro or cable tranny, motor mounts

before u ask such questions...u might wanna get the car in ur position first.

 

and always keep in mind that u cant put a lower year motor in ur car. u could but its just illegal.

 

get the car first and go from there , also what type of budget do you have ?
