2 questions about Intake, and Spark plugs(not related)
I'm new to modding cars and stuff and i recently put a intake in my 94 honda accord ex, but my question was about the air resonator "ThIng".
it sits next to the batery, and where the old air filter box used to be. i was wondering what the function of it is? i know i can remove it but i dont wanna remove it without knowing what it actually does...
and also, i need to know what the gap is for the spark plugs on the F22b1, i tried googling it but all i seem to get is sites that are selling them...

hey. the resonator box just supplies fresh air to the intake, most of us take it off, i think it's a bit more restrictive.
oh, ok i c. so if i take it off, im guessing there will be more air flowing into the engine area when im driving, thus making it a little bit coller in the engine area... is this correct?
Just take everything out that is related to the intake tube. remember to plug up any vacuum piping. Honda puts in lots of these resonator in their cars. Especially in the 5th gen EX's with VTEC engine.
Stock gap is .044" I guess those are the units.

thanks for all your replies, and i was just talking about the air resonator right behind the headlight... and when i put my intake in i couldnt even attach it straight to the intake manifold, i had to litteray cut out the filter box and i attached my filter with a L shaped corner pipe to the stock pipe coming from the manifold... i wasnt sure what to do with all the pipes and "Things" attached to the stock intake pipe cuz there was no place to put it on my intake kit.... but so you're saying that i COuld take the pipe out and plug up all of the vacuum piping???? will that affect anything??

Ha, I only use a maximum of ~70 HP out of my car. lol. I never go above 3k RPM, and if I am driving really fast, 4k is the max, so I guess I would have absolutely no benefits from an intake, because I dont ever rev my car that high where it would benefit. Stock actually gives more power up to 3k RPM, so I would loose a little bit of power for my 99.5% of the driving that I do.
