Yamaha R1 yay or nay?
Here are some bikes I am looking to get

For your reference started from the upper left hand corner and moving along the right boxes, they are..
Sale ID number
Vehicle name
(green and blue boxes irrelevant)
Rating
Final sale price
Model ID
Mileage
Exterior rating
Chassis ID
Displacement
Year
Color
Mechanical rating
Inspection certificate
Location
100 yen approximately 1 usd.
2004 red yamaha r1 starts at 650,000 yen
2006 black yamaha r1 starts at 790,000 yen
I am thinking about bidding on these, are they decently priced or kinda overpriced compared to what you guys get in the US? I was wondering if I shud go for an R6 and use the money saved from getting an R1 into getting a TV.

I've never been to Japan, but from the videos I see (of urban areas) it looks like it would be pretty scary.

Parking space would be the least of my concern in Japan. Usually, you can find parking for a bike almost anywhere.
I would think the R1 would be overkill in Japan. Especially, in the narrow streets there. Other than the highway, when would you need to the power of a liter bike? Personally, I would go with a more smaller, more manuverable bike like 400cc.

In Jamaica, bikes are limited to 600cc, because there are no roads that you can use the power of a liter bike. The roads are too small and curvy.

Im about to pcs to japan, still cant decide if i should keep my sv650s or get a 600 before i go. Im thinking about upgrading because im not sure if the sv is gonna keep me happy for 2 more years, and ppl tell me bikes are more expensive over there.

when in doubt, go with the sv650. get bored of it? couple hundred bucks here or there and its a completely new bike.
