Hey there guys, I hate for my first post to have to be a tech question but if you will:


I live in CO and have my 2 year emissions coming up.

I have the airmass catback with the rediculous 5 inch tip and a test pipe
Im looking to buy a universal magnaflow cat and a ws2 muffler to replace the test pipe and crappy muffler i have

How much do you guys think is reasonable to pay a shop to do these 2 things?

If you buy the muffler and cat separately it shouldnt be more than 150-200. I got a generic muffler bought at the shop and 2.5 piping from cat back and it was like $150.

 

The only thing that I have trouble with the magnaflow cats is their OBD2 cats have to be installed in the right place for the rear O2 sensor to read right. If your car is below 95 you will be OK. I install cats from 185 to 375 depending on vehicle. I'll have to look up the year and make to get a better quote.

 

Oh wow. Sounds like Id be cheaper just getting the cat made for my year and make (99 civ EX)... and pass emissions...185-375 is pretty high!
