fuel line fitting.
ok so im having some problems with my 92 accord LX. started a week ago when it stalled out while i was driving. i have since replaced the pressure regulator and the main relay and it still stalls. while i was replacing the regulator, i bought a filter and tried to install it. the banjo bolt fit fine but the fuel line fitting didnt thread in. so i dumped out the old fuel in the old filter and put it back on. it started up and i have been driving it for a few days until it stalled again. i pulled off the road in a walmart pk'ing lot, pulled off the filter, dumped it and reinstalled. engine cranked up with a little gas pedal persuasion.
so here are my questions:
Do any of you know where to buy that fitting so i can replace it and hopefully be able to put on a new filter, or what the thread size is. the male side has been destroyed by previous owners. My thoughts are that i can pick up a rethreading die and fix the problem that way. be better in the long run i think.
And do you have any other ideas why the engine would stall? i can hear the pump working and the dis/rotor/cables/spark plugs are all newish.
Thanx for the help and sorry to be so long winded.

i looked it up on both sites and myhondapartsstore.com and seems you have buy the tube. runs straight from the filter in the engine compartment to the fuel tank. the end of the tube has been tapered out. sorry if not proper term its early.
OOOhhhhhhh....you mean the line that comes from the tank to the filter?
That is a flared hard line. It gets a bit complicated there.... To install a new fitting you have to cut the line straight across, slide a new nut on, then flare the line again after the nut is on. Then you would have to hope the line was still long enough to reach the filter.
Another option would be to cut the line further down and attach another piece of hard line going to the filter from the spot you cut it. You would have to flare both ends of the lines and attach them with a fitting.
I hope I'm not confusing you, and if it isn't the hard line then ignore all of that

thats exactly what i was thinking. anyway i could get away without flaring? i was thinking of using a piece of similarly sized flexible fuel line and psuedo splicing in. gets kinda complicated to explain. but do you think the flex line would be a problem?

Ha, I don't remember saying anything like that...I don't think there would be a way to do it right without flaring. If by flex line you mean a stainless steel braided line then that should be fine...or a rubber fuel line should also work I just don't know how you'd attach it safely.
