Default low maintenance 600 opinion

looking to upgrade to a 600 street bike but wanted to get some of your guys opinions. looking for a bike that is low cost low maintenance and reliable. meaning if anyhting does go wrong parts are relatively cheap and easily accessible and bike having a reputation for being pretty reliable. any mid 90s to current year bike is cool. have been told stick with fuel injected and honda. what you guys think

Carbed bikes are great if you take care of them. I had an F3 and loved it, ran great. Although unless you like to tune carbs yourself, I'd stick with FI because it is much easier to maintain.

right but if you skip the 7500 mi service, what happens?

cuz you can probably ride an F4i and just do oil changes and have it run well into the 50,000's.

Other than oil changes and your basic chain and cable maintenance, the new 600rr has nothing scheduled until 16,000 miles.

It also depends on your budget. Of course, a new bike is going to be lower maintenance than an older bike. Honda, of course will always be reliable. FI is definitely less maintenance than Carbs. I have had my fair share of frustration with carbs. I would say the lowest of the 4 supersport manufacturers, Kawasaki is at the bottom. They have a nasty tone from everyone else other than the people who own them.

As long as you dont let the bike sit for long periods of time there's nothing wrong with carbs.

Flatslides FTW

ive never had a problem with carbs but in my old age ive become lazy and dont feel like playing with the choke, cleaning, syncing, jetting and all that fun stuff.

fuel injection and power commaders is just too easy.

I never touched the carbs on my 92 EX500, ran fine at 25K or so...

[edit] - Just noticed the word 600 in the title. Haha.
