RPM - up and down while idling

1990 accord. anyone? it's getting annoying, worried if it's leading to farther demage.

Do a serch for hunting idle or bouncing idle. Or you could check out the Accord FAQ's. There is a tread titled "Cleaning the Idle Air Control Valve (IACV), Fast Idle Thermo Valve (FITV) and Throttle Body (TB)" This is usually a good cure for a surging/hunting idle. Or it could be as simple as a vacuum leak.
