1993 Civic AC Freon
Hey guys, I have a 93 civic DX 2 door. I rear ended someone and had to get some work done. They emptied the condenser of the freon and didn't fill it up. I've done some searching and I see that they switched to r134 from the r12 in 93. I've read that some have 134 and some have 12. How can I tell what mine is? Can I check the part # on the condenser or something. Thanks guys
Is there a label/sticker on the inside of the hood or compressor telling you the type of refrigerant?
I thought Civics didn't use R134a until 1994 or 1995, though not absolutely sure.

I think you may be able to figure out whether you have R12 or R134a by the manifold gauge connectors on the high and low sides. The two refrigerant system connectors are different. Bring the car to AutoZone. They should also be able to tell you.
