Default help, seats don't fit

i posted this question in a previous thread but i guess it's dead now

I just purchased some 98 leather interior to go into my 97 integra and it seems as though both front seats are wider to the left by a 1/2 inch. This is causing a slight problem because now the passenger seat rubs against the leather armrest and the driver seat gives me no room to adjust the lever and ***** when the door is closed. also, the driver's seat seems a bit high and i can't get it as low as it was before, even with the height adjustment from the 2 ***** on the side. i've lost quite a bit of headroom.

anyone have any solutions? i'm all ears

thats pretty wierd.. I've had a few sets of GSR seats ...due to theft = ('

my original 95 leathers, then when they got stolen I got a pair of 98+ leathers so I could replace the stolen ones, and also I liked the additional adjustment *****/adjustability..

and on my other car I also have GSR leathers (98) and don't have this problem..

so w/ the 2 ***** you turned the lower support all the way down and its still high?

I don't get that to the left thing either..mine fit perfect in both cars... where did you get them from? was the car T-boned and everything shifted to the left?

thanks for the replies.. but my car was not t-boned, otherwise my cloth seats wouldn'tve fit perfectly. the car where my seats came from was probably not t-boned either because they're in flawless condition. i was going to buy some seats from someone else who got his car t-boned and one of the seats were damaged. i may try taking out the seats and messing with the rails. it's really bugging me because one of the edges of the seat is rubbing a dent into my armrest. i'll try and take pics later on.

and btw how do you turn the ***** to the lowest setting possible? the front **** turns clockwise to lower, and the rear one turns counter-clockwise, correct? well if i turn the rear one counter-clockwise all the way, the front **** doesn't move at all. but if i raise the seat w/ the rear **** at all, my head gets really close to the ceiling. i already have to bend my head down in order to get into the car. none of this was a problem with my old cloth seats

well I'm sittin at my desk right now and since I got my seats (in the car) the way I like them I really don't adjust them all that much.. if you REALLY want me to go to my car and check which way to turn for them to go down then let me know and I'll walk my *** downstairs, into the garage and check the seat..

but just try turning it 1 way or another. the first (closer to front of car) **** is to adjust tilt (up or down) for the front portion of the seat (where your knees are) the 2nd **** (closer to the rear of the vehicle/behind the 1st ****) is to adjust the part of the seat where your *** sits on... just try turning them one way and see which direction they go.. and if its not down.. then turn the other way..

theres also the lumbar support (for your lower back portion) on the side of the seat...

I'm not sure if the passenger side has all this stuff (I don't think it does) as its my car and I'm never in the passenger seat so I really don't remember...

if you really want me to go out to my car and find out which ways to turn let me know.. but I don't think its necessary since you have the seats w/ you..

lol it's okay you don't have to. the problem with my seats is when i lower the ***-end all the way down, the front becomes tilted all the way up. and i can't adjust the front downwards at all. off the top of your head, is your seat like that too? btw the passenger seat doesn't have these *****, and the height is perfect. all it needs to do is stop rubbing up against my armrest

I have mine adjusted so that their like buckets/tilted back.. like the rear section where my *** sits on is all the way down.. and the front section where my knees would be is slightly up.. I like it like htat because it seems to hold a little better.. as far as I recall the front part can go down and the seat can be pretty flat.. I'd really have to check thought cuz I don't like it all flat..

OK i just came back from getting lunch and driving my car.. so from what I remember.... for the front section/front **** (your knees).. if you turn it CLOCKWISE (sitting in the car.. u turn it back towards the back of the car) it goes down... for the rear/section rear **** (you *** sits on it) if you turn it CLOCKWISE it goes up.... i have mine so that the front is more up and the rear is tilted down...

hope that helps....
