The ones for the 50mm BOVs. They don't have a hinge. You're just supposed to bend them? I'm not thrilled about the idea of bending a piece of aluminum... common sense tells me that aluminum isn't a very "springy" metal.

Or am I missing something? I was afraid to bend it too far, so I nicked the finish in a few spots trying to finagle the band onto the valve/flange.

 

Just put it on. Its fine. No problems.

OP bend it as far as it needs to be bent to get it on, its not a big deal.

 

its just like every other v band out there for downpipes and charge pipe and exhaust. I wish their waste gate v band clamps were similar, i hate the tiny nut hinging v band clamp for those.

you can put the clamp onto the flange part 1st, then spread the clamp slightly to fit the bov into the clamp.
