Hey everyone, i've been searching and reading a whole lot, and I can't get a straight answer. The only answer i've gotten is that you need 2 door fenders/hood to make a 2 door bumper work on a sedan. However, a guy on eg-civic.com made a 2 door bumper line up perfectly on a sedan with 4 door fenders and hood. He won't say how he did it, anyone know the trick??? Thanks in advance everyone.

 

you can't it won't fit or well it? which is which? how is it done or hasn't it been? there's already a thread on this before and the answer is that the fenders are too short and need to be cut and rewelded downt the middle the bumper however i can't remeber on how it went but check out the search which makes me think you haven't tried hard enough

 

If you're not gonna help, don't bother answering. And do you realize how many search results you come up with if you search 2 and 4 door bumper?? Bump it up for some help!

 

i assume by eg-civic you meant civic-eg.com, and if so i know the one you mean, dogfight's gold 4 door? i wondered that too, so i asked a friend of mine on that site to ask him, she tells me he used bodyfill. You can kinda see it in some pics, the drivers side looks perfect, but you can see where something was done on the passengers side depending the angel the pic was taken at. I think if you really wanted to do it right you'd have to cut 2 door fenders and 4 door fenders and weld them together, i think you would have to do it right after the wheel opening. Or you could possibly cut out the wheel opening from a 2 door and weld them on 4 door fenders, i'm not sure, i'm not a body man. Maybe someday someone will start making special aftermarket fenders for this, but i doubt it. I will say thid though, if its done right its looks really sweet.

 

Yeah, that's the one. I PMed him and he said he just used body filler...I'd be scared of it cracking off. If you do 2 door fenders, hood, bumper and lights it fits fine. My buddy did it. I just didn't wanna spend the rest of the money on it. Thanks for the input.

 

So 2 door fenders fit? I was always told that they are shorter and/or wont line up properly with the doors.

 

The couple i've seen lined up fine.
