1997 SI Canada Newbie question
I have a 1997 Civic Si with 1.6 SOHC not sure that model I should being looking up parts for from the United States as they don't have an Si model listed. Also new to honda, car has cold air that look like it has gone into war. I live in the north should I be going back to a stock box or just clean the cold air. not sure if the cold air is of any gain to me with dirt roads. Would be looking for a stock box if anyone has one, or idea's to keep the cold air?
The US equivalent model would be the 1997 Honda Civic EX coupe.
It also has a D16Y8 like your car has.
I had a cold air intake before, but found it useless. All it really does is make the car louder. The USDM EX air box will fit your car perfectly.
Please note that there might be some slight differences in your car compared with the US EXes, such as daytime running lights (which I want for my US EX).

Can't you just go across the border up north and grab the parts to add them?

I'd definitely want to find where I could get them before I drive all the way up there. It's not really a quick trip.

I am not sure where you are in the US but, many of us Canadians are getting cars from the United States. In order for us to pass safety we have to add the Daytime runnung light and all it is, is a relay kit non OEM that cost about $75.00. Just look up DRL module you should be able to find one. I am still new at this so not sure what dealer up has online parts sales.
