Is it true Shawn Church will be having tuning sessions at Synapse in S.D once or twice a month?

I emailed Church and this is the response I received:

Hi,

We have discussed coming down for a day or two to tune some cars down there (making things easier for some of our customers who would have to make the trip otherwise). It will be slightly more expensive than if I tune at my shop (about 10%), but you'd probably save about that much in gas round trip anyways (and a lot of time).

If you are interested, contact Peter at Synapse and give him your info. Once we get enough people interested, we'll schedule a time to come down and tune.

Hopefully there will be enough interest so it will worth his time to come down.

 

just got off the phone with peter of synapse and he is approximating that saturday 07-26-08 will be the first day church will come down and planning to do it every other saturday after that.

 

Sounds good. I just need to take care of a couple things on the car first.

 

Shawn Church will be down on the 27th this month. Just a little FYI.

Yea he sent me an email saying he will be down on the 27th. Did you set an appt?

Looks like we'll be going down on Sunday July 27th. Would you like to reserve a
spot? We'll need to take a small deposit up front (refundable up to 1 week
before the day of tuning). BTW, what sort of car and engine management do you

In order to properly accommandate everyone that's planning on doing pulls and tunes, you should make an appoinment with Church Automotive first for dyno day.

Just to let everyone know. If you're planning on squeezing some high numbers or if you're tuning a race car, Synapse will have race gas at the facility for sale.

103 and 109 octane.

how much? i assume they are sold in barrels

 

So how'd everyone do?

 

only two cars were tuned, not a huge turnout. my car wasn't able to be to tuned because i ran into a small problem but i was there in the morning to pick up a basemap and it was cool to finally meet shawn. it was both shawn and todd that came down to tune and i have heard a lot of good things about todd too. i am finiding a way to organize the next one to get him to come down sooner, if i can get at least three more cars with me then i can prolly have him come down as early as next week. the downpayment need to be sent tho.

 

That's a pity, I was told they were fully booked so I didn't bother going. I'd like to make it to the next one.

oh ****, i seen you come by...we were the [racial pejorative]s that brought the ghetto hatch ha..it still needs alot of cosmetic body work as you seen lol...

yeah todd's a real good tuner..he tuned my car about a year ago.

oh ok, how much power did it end up making? I had to plug my ears because that thing screamed so loud haha.

I got an e-mail from Shawn and since this was not as successful as he planned, he won't be coming down no earlier than a month

cant blame shawn he came down and only tuned 2 cars, that sure was a waste of his time, people need to step up and not flake on the last minute
