Obviously, modified cars and Integra Type-R's are always getting stolen so I'm trying to figure out every single tactic to avoid from a robbery from occurring to myself and other owners.
I learned about Window Laminates today and figured why not help protect those who need them, ITR owners.
What are your opinions on this window laminate?
here's the thread with further information about window laminates:

This is ITR related because theft is an issue...

Interesting but I think with type-r's thieves usually want the whole car and instead of breaking windows, they'll just bring a flatbed. But like you said, layers of security....this is certainly another layer.

that's why I also talk about it's efficiency.

So this is a nice addition for those with storms and harsh weathers or don't want shattered glass everywhere when a thief breaks in. : thumbdown:
And I'm talking about layers of security for this to actually be as efficient as it should be. So I'm assuming this combination will make the laminate very efficient:
- GPS (Relocated)
- Alarm with knock sensors. (Relocated)
- Relocated Fusebox/Battery
- Relocated Hoodcable (Or maybe some kind of lock mechanism)
- Removed/Disconnected door rods
- Two Dustboots (Those wheel locks)
- Kill-switches</TD></TR></TABLE>
I don't want to see another Type-R get stolen.

A for effort here
.... but I don't think many R's get their windows broken. It's pretty easy to just pull back the door window frame and reach something inside to snag the power lock switch. Seems like smashed windows are purely an act of vandalism, or a smash and grab of CDs/cell phone/other valuables in sight in the car.

heh, thanks for the A.

concerning the power lock switch, that's why I said for the window to be efficient, the rods for opening and unlocking the door should be taken off and control by a module > Keyless entry.
but you're pretty much right, I remember seeing no shattered windows on all the cars I've seen stolen.

But I'm even more interested in the personal safety angle. </TD></TR></TABLE>
x2. I think i'll invest in 2 sets....
