Go check your panel..tell us the specs and we will tell you what machine would be best for your needs. I have a 200 amp panel and it runs my SYNC 200 fine, I have it wired on its own 50 amp breaker. 220volt.

I live in Australia so for home I have a single phase 240 volt Kemppi MLS 2300 from Finland, 230 amps of pure welding brilliance. AC/DC, inverter, mix tig, pulse, all the bells and whistles.
For work I have a 3 phase 415 volt 300 amp OTC machine from Japan an analogue inverter machine again with all the bells and whistles.
Regards Andrew from Oz.

sync 200 in the garage. Just imagine a sync 200 on some castors so I can roll it around and not have to buy the runner.

Thermal Arc Arc Master 185 inverter is probably the best bang for the buck. I have the Pro wave 185 which is the older version and it works great.

I can't get 220v in my current place so I have a Thermal Arc Dragster 85. Not a bad welder, just no aluminum

I have a Miller Dynasty 200 SD running off of 110 in the garage right now. I plan on putting it on 220 but the house is not mine.

Nick, get you a Syncrowave 200 and don't look back great unit for the money. Or spend the extra cash and get a Dynasty if you want the extra room and ability to run on less power and autosense 115/220/440v power!

I have a miller bobcat 225g. Got it for $400 with only 677 hours on it. Still saving up for lines, bottle, etc... Sorry no pictures. My favorite feature is that it is gas powered so I don't have to run power lines (I rent ).

you think thats old school!

I have this behemoth from 1963 that still works like a charm:

right now that thing sits in storage until i get my own house or shop; been living in apartments for over a year... fu-ucking sucks.. Anyway I paid $360 for that thing when I was living up in denver; found it on craigslist. This hippy guy in boulder boulder bought it; never used it; didnt know if it really worked. I get it clean it out some; replace a fuse and missing wire and viola it works! Came with a pedal, water cooled torch and a bunch of cups/gas lenses. torch is probably older than I am and will be replaced when I actually start using this monster.

and for ***** and giggles here is my old harbor freight "tig" welder and my lincoln mig:

This was one of the first welds I made w/ the monster-tig. was testing it out made sure it worked. i made that manifold w/ my hf tig then it wound up not fitting in an aw11 so it got turned into a test piece
